I am a UKCP Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist working with individuals in private practice in Steyning, West Sussex. I also offer supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists. I believe it is crucially important to create a therapy setting which is supportive, understanding and honest. I have 37 years’ experience of helping people recover from stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, abuse and the effects of physical and psychological trauma. This can include the consequences of early neglect and abandonment, including the separations resulting from boarding school education. Work with ex-boarders has been a significant aspect of my practice for the last 15 years. I have also worked extensively with people experiencing persistent conflicts and negative behaviour patterns who seek creative directions for their lives, as well as those going through major life transitions, such as bereavement, retirement, divorce, redundancy etc. As a painter I am interested in the role of creativity in personal development and in working with those encountering creative blocks. My practice area covers West and East Sussex, I also work online.
