As an accredited psychotherapist of over 30 years’ experience, my background is humanistic, creative and holistic but I have also been influenced by and studied classical analytical psychology and also more modern approaches including NLP, and trauma-informed CBT & EMDR. Thus, my resources for facilitating change are wide and varied.
Now, as an accredited EMDR Practitioner, I find this is my personal working preference most of the time, within my psychotherapeutic knowledge base. I have been impressed by the efficacy of EMDR to resolve even the most extreme trauma and its effect on the mind and body, thus I have undertaken many additional EMDR courses which have expanded my ability to use it in the context of childhood trauma and attachment issues including dissociation which is often linked with these experiences
